Temper, Temper

Our little man has developed quite the temper. I caught this on camera while I was trying to get him playing nicely with his cars. I had to really hold back my giggles. He goes from babbling happy KK to screaming, slamming things around in a matter of 5 seconds or less. Then he snaps right back out of it and moves to something else. I'm sure it's common with the communication barriers at this age. Enjoy!

Sparkly White Teeth

I bought this little step stool for Karson so he could brush his teeth by himself. Now I am wondering if it was a mistake as he doesn't want to stop....ever. We are working on learning to put our toothbrush away and leave the bathroom nicely without a tantrum like many previous times. He can now easily reach all places that were the last "safe" areas. Pretty sure I'll find him on the kitchen counter some day soon.

Day with Mom

Last week I had an afternoon off to spend with Karson. It was a warmer day so I took him outside in the yard to play in the snow. He hasn't quite mastered scooping the snow into his bucket or shoveling with his gloves on and not being able to grasp. He enjoyed the sledding, I got a good workout pulling him in the deep snow.

I debated at least 5 times on sledding down the big hill by our house onto the pond as I knew someone was going to have to get us back up to the top. Figured it would be a fun ride down and I could use the exercise. We were moving at a pretty good pace down the hill, I was trying to keep us on a straight path through those trees. Haven't done that since I was a kid!

Pete put KK in this tote one night and carried him around. He thought that was quite funny. So the next day while I was home with him he was playing with his toys and next time I looked at him he was inside the tote with his book. He's so fast.

Minnesota Zoo - Valentine's Day

We made a journey to the cities on Sunday, met up with the cousins for day two of fun. The MN Zoo was having a beach party with a gigantic sandbox filled with kids, buckets, and shovels. Now this was Karson's first time really playing in the sand or at least scooping. He was flinging sand all over innocent bystanders, we tried to keep him under control and help him scoop but then he would get mad. He loved it, I was sure some mom was going to be irate with me letting him throw sand everywhere. Most of the zoo is closed down for the winter but they did have some nice exhibits inside including an aquarium and a few outdoor animals we could watch. We are putting a summer trip on our calendar!
Later in the day - Grandma Sandy & Grandpa Ron kept KK for a few hours so mom and dad could have a nice Valentine's Day supper. So nice!

Stingray
The glass was from floor to ceiling - Karson really thought this was cool.

Dolphins - they were putting on a show for us. Swimming in pairs, playing with a ball. Great Grandma Katie & Grandma Jackie would have loved it.

Feb 2010 - Winter Wonderland

Saturday Karson spent part of the day with cousins Andrew & Jeremy, Uncle Patrick, Aunt Jen & Grandma Pat while mom and dad both worked. He has a blast being outside, sledding down the big hill and being pulled around. He thought it was funny when he would crash and fall off into the soft snow. We spent some time outside in the afternoon with family. Pete gave snowmobile rides to the boys.

Karson thinks it's cute to wear these Bob the Builder slippers he got from his cousins before bed at night. Our adventure this week - pushing a chair over to the light switch, crawling up on it and turning the light & fan on and off. He's almost mastered the stair case and is really starting to talk in forms of what seems like sentences...we just can't quite understand him yet. He says lots of words that are clear like mama, papa, daddy, cheese, wee, duke, mine, hi, bye. He turns the radio on very loud in his room and dances...wonder where he gets that from?
