Grandpa Jim Will Be Proud!

Last weekend Pete was in the garage while Karson was riding his 4 wheeler. He heard a different noise so looked out and quickly caught this video. Apparently, he has watched his cousins enough times to figure out how to spin donuts...our poor grass.

Our local Ace Hardware has a cool fish pond we have to check out each time we stop in.

Karson put on a Big Show for us with a guest audience.

I love popcorn!

Fresh hair cuts for Daddy and Karson

Grandma Sandy's Barber Shop

Grandma Sandy "You pitch" and I'm gonna hit and run really fast with my running shoes." says Karson. He has improved his swing so he can now hit the ball without the tee.

This baby duck wondered up onto our sidewalk one evening while we were outside. After petting it for awhile, we put it back down by the pond hoping it's mom would find it.

Our Little Musician

Karson likes to perform and host concerts with all his musical instruments. Grandpa Ron was able to sneak in with the camera unknown to Karson.

New set of wheels

From the time we get up in the morning, pick Karson up from daycare or after his nap - he says outside mama, outside daddy. It's his favorite place to be. He knows what all the tools are for and how to use them. So he helps Pete work on the mud truck or whatever needs fixing.

Day with Mom

Last week I had an afternoon off to spend with Karson. It was a warmer day so I took him outside in the yard to play in the snow. He hasn't quite mastered scooping the snow into his bucket or shoveling with his gloves on and not being able to grasp. He enjoyed the sledding, I got a good workout pulling him in the deep snow.

I debated at least 5 times on sledding down the big hill by our house onto the pond as I knew someone was going to have to get us back up to the top. Figured it would be a fun ride down and I could use the exercise. We were moving at a pretty good pace down the hill, I was trying to keep us on a straight path through those trees. Haven't done that since I was a kid!

Pete put KK in this tote one night and carried him around. He thought that was quite funny. So the next day while I was home with him he was playing with his toys and next time I looked at him he was inside the tote with his book. He's so fast.

Here Comes Trouble

I was in the kitchen cleaning up after supper. Pete ran outside quick to feed our dog. When he came back inside - maybe 30 seconds later - he said come here quick. When I walked into the bedroom, here is where I found Karson. He had pulled all my jeans out of the dresser and climbed in. This is why I keep saying we just can't take our eyes off him for even a few seconds...trouble!

Bang, Bang

Karson likes to find "neat" places to sit. He's learning how to get down the stairs after going up, still thinks he can just walk right off of them. We are trying to teach him to turn around to go down them so he doesn't go face first or to "scootch" down on his bottom. He has his mom's tempermant and patience level...NONE!

Somehow he discovered that the stove drawer pulled out and he could THROW the pans out onto the floor, crawl into the drawer, then THROW them back in the drawer. He is giving me a challenge daily. Yesterday he wanted to open the oven, pull the pans off the top of the stove too. He opened the dishwasher while it was running, and tried to crawl into the wash machine while I was doing laundry. He never ceases to amaze me, so inquisitive.

Say Cheese

The other night, I was trying to get Karson to stay still for at least 5 seconds so I could take his picture. I would say "Say Cheese" and he would make this hilarious face!

He has started to really like books, points at animals and tries to make their sounds.

KK has discovered a variety of new places to sit. He likes to sit on our bed, couch or chair. He can't quite crawl up by himself yet but it won't be long. When he was with G & G Wersal a few weeks back he found my old rocking chair from when I was a little girl. He crawled in and out of it all day long.

No Fear

Karson stands up on his scooter, very daring like. One day last week, I took my eye off of him for 30 seconds. When I looked back at him, he had the scooter up next to the hutch, was standing on it and digging in the candy dish! Smart lil' cookie! We have been trying to correct him and get him to learn what "no" means. He does alright half the time, the other half he just ignores us or smiles slyly and keeps doing what he's not supposed to. I can tell this is going to take some major efforts. He hasn't really started to say any definite words yet, at least that we can make out. He looks at us jabbering for lengthy times and talks as if we should understand him.

So Sweet

Karson has become attached to certain objects, mostly his favorite blanket. However, he seems to really like this cuddly monkey he got for his birthday.

Sweep, Sweep

Karson discovered he loves to sweep just as much as mom does. I think I'll teach him how to vacuum, dust, and do laundry!

Mr Mischevious

Karson has discovered all of my tuppware bowls, lids, etc. We had to put the safety locks on many drawers and cupboard but I left a few for him to play with that are not harmful. He's just an all around happy boy, always smiles at anyone that looks or talks to him. We did have our first separation anxiety at church last Sunday. We decided to try to put him in the Go Kids Daycare area while we were in church. It was not long before his number came up on the screen. Pete went to get him, he was crying. Probably scared because of the strange place and people. Otherwise, we leave him at daycare, and with grandparents and he could care less that we leave.

Future Hollywood Baby Star

Just proving he actually does have some hair, it's getting longer in the back but not so much on the top. Very light too, he did not take after me at all. Well, except his little temper he just discovered.

Officially walking on his own with no help!

AHHHH! 10 Months Old

KK either has a big smile on his face or his mouth wide open making noises.

Here is a a good view of Karson's bottom chompers. He got his eye teeth on top next, and is getting the top middle teeth in now. So far he's been a real trooper with the teething stage.
