Thanksgiving 2009

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration. Thursday afternoon we enjoyed a nice dinner at Grandpa Ron & Grandma Sandy's. Joining us were Grandpa Paul & Grandma Pat, Uncle Patrick, Aunt Jen, Cousin's Andrew & Jeremy, Uncle Aaron, his friend Michael, Uncle Derrick & Aunt Rachel. The 3 boys were dancing in the garage, they like loud music with good a good beat. Pete was trying to show them his break dancing moves - it was pretty funny. He surprised us all, but I thought he may need to seek medical attention afterwards. ;)
We headed to Sioux Falls about 630pm Thursday night, stayed overnight and met up with family Friday morning. Grandpa Jim & Grandma Jackie, Uncle Matt, Aunt Melissa, Cousin's Caleb, Meg & Sam, Uncle Josh, Aunt Brigitte, Cousin's Ella & Owen, Uncle Aaron were all together again for the first time since before Karson was born. Aunt Melissa served us an amazing dinner, we tasted delicious wines and had scrumptious appetizers too. We really enjoyed our time with all of them.
Saturday morning everyone met for breakfast before departing separate ways. We followed Grandpa & Grandma Siver to Mitchell. Stopped at Great Grandpa Bob & Grandma Davy's for a little visit and lunch. Seen all the Collin's family while there. Then we drove to DeSmet, spent Sat late afternoon/evening with Great Grandma Katie.
Sunday early morning we made an unplanned early trip back to MN. Pete was very ill through the night, we were both awake all through the night. Unfortunately, we didn't get to our last stop which was Great Grandpa & Grandma Munger's. We'll be heading back to SD for Christmas time, we'll see some of you again soon!

Andrew, Jeremy & Karson

The best family picture we could capture. Just can't get that little boy to sit still.

Dad & Karson check out the big pirate ship at the indoor waterpark. KK was scared of all the noise and shooting water spouts but eventually warmed up to enjoy it.

Karson thought it was pretty funny to drink out of Grandpa's big water jug.

Karson was "trading" with Great-Great Grandma Kat. He would give her one toy to take another one back.

Karson met a new friend cousin Josie while in SD at the Collin's family get together. They are only a couple weeks apart in age.

Bang, Bang

Karson likes to find "neat" places to sit. He's learning how to get down the stairs after going up, still thinks he can just walk right off of them. We are trying to teach him to turn around to go down them so he doesn't go face first or to "scootch" down on his bottom. He has his mom's tempermant and patience level...NONE!

Somehow he discovered that the stove drawer pulled out and he could THROW the pans out onto the floor, crawl into the drawer, then THROW them back in the drawer. He is giving me a challenge daily. Yesterday he wanted to open the oven, pull the pans off the top of the stove too. He opened the dishwasher while it was running, and tried to crawl into the wash machine while I was doing laundry. He never ceases to amaze me, so inquisitive.

Enjoying Outdoors In November

The 3 Kolb boys

Aunt Jennifer turned the Big 4-0 the first weekend of November. Andrew & Jeremy helped bake a cake while staying the weekend at Grandma Pat's and make a sign to put in the yard. Karson and Pete played with them outside and on the 4 wheelers an entire day.

Karson absolutely loves anything he can drive or ride. He's all boy!

Halloween 2009

By the number of monkey costumes I seen this year, my guess is it was the #1 costume pick. Great choice! We took Karson trick or treating to Grandma & Grandpa Wersal's and a few of our friends houses. Grandpa & Grandma Kolb escorted us and then took KK home to stay overnight so we could attend our annual Halloween party. Country living gets us by cheap, so far we've had zero trick or treaters the past 4 years.

BOO!

Posing in our roles - Pete made a great Al!
