I can stand

This past week, we got up in the morning to get Karson from his crib and we found him standing up with a big smile on his face. As soon as we seen that, we knew the crib mattress needed to be lowered. He now thinks it's really funny. At nap time or at bedtime, he stands up, throws his pacifier on the floor and babbles to himself sometime for almost an hour before he goes to bed.

Karson is growing and changing so fast. He now can balance on his scooter, open and closes books, climbs in things, rolls the ball and much more.

Memorial Day Weekend 2009

Memorial Day weekend was our first weekend away from Karson. He stayed with Grandpa Ron & Grandma Sandy from Thursday night until Monday afternoon. Mom and Dad went to Dresser, Wisconsin for the big 4x4 weekend with a group of about 20 friends and all of our mud trucks. We had a great time, but naturally I missed my lil KK. I checked in on him often and got all good reports that he was such a good boy. I managed to drive the girls around on some trails and not break anything this year. Pete had no fear on the hills, rocks, mud or sand. We camped so it was a real "hick" weekend. I took Karson for a little ride in the mud truck after we got home. It's loud so he really loved it!

Mom's toys vs Karson's toys

Karson has now discovered all of my "things" are much more fun than his toys. He's found that he can make cool noises by banging objects together. I've put up all the glass items long ago.

Grandma Pat & KK

Grandma Pat comes to the house to babysit often so we can get away for a date night or ball games.

Bed Time

Now that Karson falls asleep on his own in the crib, these are the crazy sleep positions I find him in when I check on him one last time at night.
